Waterbury, CT — The American Savings Foundation board of directors recently announced seven grants totaling $117,500 supporting programs and services in Waterbury that work to improve the quality of life in the community.
“This investment represents grants across all of our grantmaking focus areas; education, human services, and the arts,” said Maria Falvo, President and CEO of American Savings Foundation. “We recognize that local nonprofits are facing higher cost along with growing demand for services, and we are proud that we have been able to continue and grow our support for many of these Waterbury organizations over the years.”
The Foundation’s board announced the following grants:
$10,000 was awarded to Acts 4 Ministry for their Safe Sleep program, which provides beds and linens to Waterbury-area families who are experiencing financial distress or life-changing circumstances.
