Internship positions for Summer 2021 now open!

Dates & Deadlines

Jobs posted: March 15, 2021

Deadline to apply: June 30, 2021

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Agencies may interview at anytime during the process so you should not wait until the deadline to apply.

This program is designed to help Robert T. Kenney Scholars gain meaningful professional work experience, while giving local nonprofit agencies the extra assistance of a talented college student for the summer. Agencies apply to the American Savings Foundation for funding for these internships through a competitive proposal process. Those selected receive a small grant to fund a paid summer internship for a current Robert T. Kenney scholar.

These positions are funded for an hourly wage of $14.50 per hour for 35 hours a week for a total of 9 weeks. Start and end dates may be flexible, but applicants must be available to fulfill the total of 315 hours. The hiring agency will be responsible for all screening, interviewing, and selection of candidates, and will have control over all hiring, training, payroll, and supervisory responsibilities regarding the intern. Decisions about internships will not have any impact on any renewal scholarship application award decisions, which are made later in the summer.

If you have any questions about the paid summer internship program, contact Heather Hokunson at (860) 612-4291 or hhokunson@asfdn.org.

Below are the positions available for Summer 2021!

Note: Only students who received a Robert T. Kenney Scholarship during the 2020-2021 academic year may apply through the online portal.
