Waterbury, Conn. – The American Savings Foundation Board of Directors recently announced a total of $147,000 in grants to eight programs that focus on the needs and well-being of children, youth, and families in the Greater Waterbury area.

With the rising cost of living, supporting basic needs like food, housing, and energy continue to be areas of high need. Many of the grants awarded support organizations that not only provide these essential services, but also work to ensure that individuals and families within the Waterbury community have access to the resources they need to thrive.

“The work of the Foundation goes beyond meeting immediate needs – it’s about helping build a stronger community”, said Maria Falvo, president and CEO of American Savings Foundation. “These awards underscore the Foundation’s commitment to improving the quality of life for residents of the communities we serve.”
