Capital Grants

Capital grants support projects that are closely aligned with American Savings Foundation’s mission, and the needs of the community.

See Grant Guidelines

Grant Guidelines

Capital requests may be for funding for one-time capital expenses, or for large capital campaigns.  Requests can include new construction, renovations, and equipment.  Visit our Grant History page to see our recent capital grants.

The proposal process consists of two steps.

  1. Organizations must first submit a Letter of Intent (see below)
  2. Selected projects will then be invited to submit a full proposal. If invited, you will be provided the capital proposal guidelines

Organizations that are considering applying to the Foundation for a capital grant should contact Maria Sanchez, Director of Grantmaking & Community Initiatives, at (860) 827-2556 or by email msanchez@asfdn.org, well in advance of their proposed project date.

Ineligible for funding:

  • Religious institutions, except for non-sectarian activities that benefit the community at-large
