Performances that Bring Arts to Life

American Savings Foundation has supported local musical and theatrical works that enrich community life for over 30 years. Over that time, the Foundation has awarded grants to youth concerts, symphonies, theater programs, and community performing ensembles.

Oddfellows Playhouse

Now in its 50th season, Oddfellows Playhouse remains the state’s largest year‑round youth theater, welcoming more than 1,000 young people into an inclusive and creative learning environment. Its programs encourage young performers to collaborate, build confidence, and take on ambitious roles. The Foundation’s support helps ensure that these opportunities continue through the Playhouse’s mainstage productions, where students share their work with the broader community.

Connecticut Choral Artists

Now in its fifth decade of performance, Connecticut Choral Artists, also known as CONCORA, has established itself as one of the region’s premier professional choral ensembles, engaging audiences with thoughtful and expressive interpretations of both classical and contemporary repertoire. The organization brings together highly skilled singers to collaborate on programs that emphasize artistic excellence, innovation, and meaningful connection. Through its concert series and community engagement efforts, CONCORA enriches the cultural landscape of Connecticut while providing audiences with inspiring choral experiences of exceptional quality.

Since 1996, American Savings Foundation has awarded almost $1.5 million to support seasonal performances at local music and theater companies.
