Title: Video Production Intern
Dates: June 3 - August 2, 2019. These dates are flexible, of course.
Hours: 9:30a-5p (with a 1/2 hr lunch) - these hours being flexible. There will be days when the hours begin earlier or end later due to a meeting and/or event. We are happy to accommodate the intern’s schedule as mush as possible.
The Video Production Intern will be assisting the Director of Development & Public Relations in design, production, and creation of high quality and compelling videos and photography to promote NHSW. You will be involved in all aspects of video productions. From running a drone, digital camera to running to get coffee.
• Photography and Video - film content and interview clients, via our drone and/or SLR digital camera, to create comprehensive marketing collateral to be shared on our social media channels, website and more. This includes creating flyers, video, ads and other collateral and scheduling interviews.
• Adobe - work with our Adobe Suite account to create relevant visual content and/or edit video/photos.
• Office Administration: photo copying, scanning, faxing, filing, answering phones and data entry. These skills, although very entry-level in nature, are needed at any level of professional status. Administration responsibilities are often taken for granted, however, without these skills you cannot manage and run an office successfully.
Marketing and Communications: These skills will help our intern develop their storytelling abilities. A big part of creating a remarkable client/donor experience is telling a good story. It’s harder than ever to get a client’s/donor’s attention. Marketers must be good storytellers for the simple reason that clients/donors identify with compelling stories more than anything else.
We believe college students with majors in the following area would benefit most from this internship: Communications, Marketing, Video Production and Graphic Arts.
