Title: Camp Leadership Development Intern
Location: New Britain / Burlington
Dates: Flexible to begin around 6/30
Hours: 8:00pm until 4:00pm - flexible. We operate on a 8- 4pm daily rotation, splitting sights in New Britain and Burlington. Transportation to Burlington will be provided.
The primary objective of the Camp Leadership Development Intern is to support the planning, coordination, and execution of various camp programs while gaining hands-on experience in leadership, staff management, and program development. This internship aims to provide the intern with practical skills and knowledge to effectively manage and lead camp activities, as well as to foster personal and professional growth within the camp environment.Key
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the development and implementation of leadership training programs for camp staff and participants.
2. Support the supervision and evaluation of camp staff, providing constructive feedback and guidance as needed.
3. Contribute to the planning and execution of camp-wide events, including team-building activities, workshops, and recreational programs.
4. Collaborate with camp leadership to create and maintain a positive and inclusive camp culture that aligns with organizational values.
5. Assist in the management of daily camp operations, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with campers and their families.
6. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of educational materials, resources, and lesson plans for leadership development activities.
7. Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to enhance leadership and management skills, and to provide input on program improvement.
8. Support the development of evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of leadership programs and overall camper experience.
9. Act as a role model for campers and staff by demonstrating strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
