Job Posting - Operations Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

Marchese Consulting LLC has been solely retained by the American Savings Foundation, a private nonprofit foundation based in New Britain CT to conduct a search for an Operations Manager reporting to the CEO.  This position is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Foundation with dedication to continuous improvement and strong internal controls.   Duties include financial accounting support, human resources administration, board relations, office management, and executive administrative support to the President and CEO.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to, management of accounts payable and reporting, reconciliation of financial statements, human resources payroll preparation for outsourced payroll vendor, board preparation work including board minutes and board meeting logistics, management of any vendor relationships, and assistance in the scholarship and grants programs, especially during peak intake and review periods.  In addition, this position supports the CEO in all areas of operating this Foundation.   

 

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate must possess 7-10 plus years’ experience as a senior administrative or operational executive assistant to a senior leader or CEO of a private, publicly held company, or non- profit organization.  A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.   Nonprofit experience would be considered a plus but not essential.  You must also possess outstanding administrative skills including all of the Microsoft Office Suite products, along with excellent communication skills.  You must have a commitment to discretion, confidentiality and integrity; thrive in a demanding environment with empathy, poise and good humor; possess flexibility when priorities and work load shift dramatically and quickly; and possess exceptional organizational skills and detail orientation coupled with strong initiative.  A strong customer service ethic and collaborative team mindset are essential.  For the right candidate this position may pay 60-65K per year plus an excellent benefits package and free parking.  If you possess a can do attitude and the above mentioned desired skills and experience and wish to work in a highly collaborative environment where making a difference in the community is essential, please send your resume and cover letter to Monica Marchese Principal, Marchese Consulting LLC at marchese66@msn.com.
