Collaborations, Alliances, Partnerships, and More
On September 14 2009, the Foundation co-hosted with the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain a second in this series of workshops. Titled "Collaborations, Alliances, Partnerships, and More: Winning Strategies for Uncertain Times," this workshop examined different ways nonprofits can partner, with particular emphasis on: collaboration and program coordination; sharing administrative functions; joint programming; and joint ventures.

Partnership Matrix:
In May 2009, the Foundation co-hosted two "Partnership Matrix" workshops, one with the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain and the other with the Connecticut Community Foundation and the United Way of Greater Waterbury. This comprehensive program, conducted by Heather Gowdy of La Piana Associates, was designed to bring everyone - nonprofits and funders alike - up to speed on this important subject at this challenging time.
